Atelier Serafimov

We are an architectural, engineering, urban planning and design company, founded by the partners Tanko Serafimov, Vania Serafimova and Radomir Serafimov. The company was established in 1990 to meet the requirements of the new free market and is one of the largest private architectural companies in Bulgaria.

The Atelier has worked on a wide variety of designs such as cultural, educational and health facility buildings, sports facilities, banking, office, conference and retail centers, industrial buildings and wаrеhouses, hotels, residential buildings, houses and many others.

ASA has been certified in conformance with EN ISO 9001:2015, EN ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
We use licensed BIM software and state-of-the-art tech equipment.

Co-Founders

Tanko Serafimov (1943-2013)

Co-Founder, Lead Architect
Tanko Serafimov was a prominent Bulgarian architect, famous for his high morality and architectural professionalism. He was an Architecture lecturer at the Department of Public Buildings at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Sofia. in Sofia for 42 years. Serafimov also served two consecutive terms as Chairman of the Union of Architects in Bulgaria and led the architectural studio “Atelier Serafimov Architects”. He received multiple awards and as leading architect he was responsible for realizations as: Arena Russe, Apha Bank (today Endurosat), Tokuda hospital and many other emblematic buildings.
Radomir Serafimov

Co-founder, CEO & Lead Architect
With 25 years of practice in architectural design, arch. Serafimov, alone and in a team, participated in 17 national competitions, as a result of which he was awarded 17 first prizes. Among his implemented projects are metro stations, logistics bases, administrative and cultural buildings. As leading architect among his realizations are Blue Offices, Polygraphy Office Center, Office park Plovdiv and many others. Since 2014 he continued the sustainable and successful development of the Atelier Serafimov Architects as its main leader and CEO and strengthen the team.
Vanya Serafimova

Co-Founder, Lead Architect
Lead designer with 50 years of experience in architecture. Early in her career, she spent 22 years at “Sofproekt” and took part in the emblematic “Japanese” Hotel in Sofia. She has also served as Chief Architect of the Izgrev Municipality and participates in expert architectural councils for various municipalities. Vanya has twice chaired the Disciplinary Committee of the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria. Her strongest expertise lies in urban planning, where she has led the master planning and urban design phases of numerous projects realized by Atelier Serafimov Architects.

Associated Partner, Lead Architect
Arch. Jivko Traykov is part of the team of “Atelier Serafimov Architects” since 2003, he has over 20 years of experience in the design and implementation of a wide range of properties – public, commercial, industrial and residential.
Ivo Mladenov

Associated Partner, Lead Architect
Arch. Ivo Mladenov has a Master of Architecture is with over 20 years of professional experience. He has been part of the team of “Atelier Serafimov Architects” since 2006 and has participated in the design of a number of significant buildings.
Kremena Nikolova

Architect, Project Manager
Arch. Kremena Nikolova is a Master of Architecture, graduated in 2016 from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy - Sofia, Department of Residential Buildings. She has participated in the design of a number of public, office and residential buildings.
Julian Popov

Surveyor
Graduated in Geodesy from the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy - Sofia and has over 15 years of experience in the design and implementation of buildings with various purposes. Julian is a specialist with deep knowledge in the field of spatial planning, geodetic surveys and urban development.
